Born in Santa Barbara in 1962, and raised between Northern California, Southern California, and Hawaii, in 1985 he graduated with a Degree in Architecture from California Polytechnic State University. Subsequently, he graduated in Architecture (Dipartimento B.E.S.T. – Building, Environment, Sciences and Technology) from the Milan Polytechnic. Tim Power is licensed to practice Architecture in Italy and EU countries.
With over 25 years of experience in the field,
he is the leader of all design projects in the office.
Tim Power works on projects and research following a multidisciplinary approach, spanning across different curricular disciplines. His Professional endeavors and Academic interests encompass Landscape Urbanism, Architecture, Product and Interior Design and Contemporary Art.

The Studio
Tim Power Architects , TP/A, is a multidisciplinary, multilingual studio located just North of the Historical Center of Milan. TP/A follows a variety of projects including Architecture, Interior Architecture, Landscape, and Industrial Design .
The current direction of the practice stresses combinatory strategies to bridge these various fields, linking them into a singular course of practice which focuses on the revitalization of Public, Semi-Public, and Private space. The focus investigates the contemporary urban environment, to better comprehend design issues and tendencies of public and private spheres. The cultural, analytical, economic, and operational components are applied to the definition of complex and articulated programming aspects for the enrichment of the community and environment.
The practice sustains the highest levels of artistic creativity combined with professional responsiveness, building projects that are as imaginative and dynamic as they are responsive to client needs, communication, schedule, deadlines, cost, feasibility and ease of implementation.
Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, graphic imaging programs, Tim Power Architects produces not only the highest quality design documentation for plans and construction, but also powerful renderings, models, graphic designs, books and presentations useful for conveying design ideas to a wide range of audiences.

He has worked in the influential design offices of Superstudio and Sottsass Associati, SMWM, A+O and is the founder and director of Tim Power Architects and Tim Power Group.
Tim Power is licensed to practice Architecture in Italy and EU countries.

He has worked in the influential design offices of Superstudio and Sottsass Associati, SMWM, A+O and collaborated closely with many leading International partners include projects, proposals and competition entries with West 8, Akihiro Hirata, Sou Fujimoto Architects, 8 Inc., nendo, Jun Aoki & Associates, Rosemarie Trockel, SWA Group, Mobility in Chain, Foreign Office Architects, James Corner Field Operations, Junya Ishigami, Toyo Ito, Morphosis Architects and others.
Together with his team of exceptionally talented design and planning professionals in the office — many of whom are international in origin and outlook, and have worked on a variety of important projects in other leading practices around the world — the creative expertise and resources of Tim Power Architects is unsurpassed.
TP/A is fully committed to teamwork and implements this philosophy throughout the entirety of the design process. We place emphasis on creating deep collaborations between ourselves and our clients, consultants, collaborators and contractors.
