The Ray Desk Lamp, constructed from Aluminium and Polycarbonate, was designed by Tim Power w/ Silvio Caputo for Fontana Arte in 1998. The company Fontana Arte was formed in 1932 by Gio Ponti and has grown to be an of Italian Lighting Manufacturing leader. The company works with an exclusive list of designers – amongst the very limited list of foreign designers working with Fontana Arte are Kazuyo Sejima, Norman Foster and David Chipperfield.
