Muji, the Japanese retail and lifestyle brand, has opened their first retail outlet in Southern Europe in Corso Buenos Aires, Milan. The Shop, their largest in Europe, was designed with Muji and Studio Power, who as local architect, was also co-responsible for the production of the highly acclaimed Muji Exhibit in the Milano Salone of 2003. 450 square meters of retail space was designed and constructed in very quick time, and is a push towards making Muji shops on a global level – the shop was conceived entirely using ecologically sound materials and systems.
