Collector’s House

Located in an eclectic turn of the century Palazzo in Milan’s San Babila district, this house/museum, commissioned by one of Italy’s most prominent collectors of Modern and Contemporary Art, was conceived in order to allow him to display his vast contemporary art collection in its entirety.
The generous and elegant spaces allow for a specific placement of each art work, all the while, provided an elegant and generous domestic environment for the collector and his wife.
The house / gallery contained important works by Burri, Rothko, Beuys, Manzoni, Schnabel, Gursky, Schnabel, Basquiat, Cattelan, Fontana, Kiefer, Haring and numerous other leading contemporary artists.
When he passed away, the private collection was sold in it entirety in an international auction.
