Timothy Power graduated in Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, in 1985, and obtained a Magistrale degree in Architecture from the Milan Polytechnic in 2005.
He is Licensed to practice Architecture in Europe as a Licensed Architect in Italy, Province of Milan, since 2006.
From 1987 to 1996, Timothy Power worked in the studios of Superstudio, Claudio Nardi and Sottsass Associati in Italy and SMWM, I.O.O.A. and A+O Architecture and Design in California.
In 1996 he founded Studio Power, as a studio specializing in Architecture, Interior Architecture and Industrial Design:
Studio Power has designed Architectural / Interior facilities and environments for numerous private clients in the world of Art, Technology, Fashion and Advertising, including Louis Vuitton, Texas Instruments, Motorola, Muji, Switch, Preziosismi, J. Walter Thompson, Miroglio, UCI (Paramount), Lexus, Samsonite and Yoshie Inaba.
Studio Power has designed industrial products, furniture and objects for Zeritalia, Poltronova, WMF, Montina, Felicerossi, Oluce, David Design, BRF, Alfi, Rosenthal, FontanaArte, Mitsubishi, Cassina / Interdecor and many others.
Participation in cultural activities and exhibits include the Biennale di Venezia (German Pavilion 1999), the Biennale of Design (St. Etienne, 1999) and the activity of adviser to the Venice Architecture Biennale (2000, Section ‘ Radical ‘).
Work by Tim Power Architects have been exhibited to Milan, Florence, San Francisco, New York, Barcelona, Tokyo, London, Cologne and Venice, and published in leading publications, books and magazines on Design and Architecture.
Timothy Power has taught at the IED in Milan, Turin and Venice and at the Domus Academy in Milan.
Currently, Timothy Power is an Adjunct Professor at the Politecnico di Milano.
